B+D brings color and convenience to Cannes
At the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, B+D will be announcing a series of new developments: a new look for the company’s range of brands, new products in the readers category, a new sunglasses line and its first incursion beyond eyewear, watches.
The B+D management team constantly studies the way to deliver an eye-catching exhibition and facilitate purchases. As a result B+D has been working with a new group of designers that seek to maintain the company’s core values while refreshing the image and design with a modern and updated look.
The corporate logo, products, merchandising displays and advertising materials have all been tweaked to reach the company’s goals.
Following a preview at the Singapore show, B+D will introduce the new XNTD line of readers to the rest of the world.
XTND is the new stay-on reader. Ideal for everyday use and people on the move, the model's innovative design allows you to keep your glasses on comfortably at all times without damaging or losing them.
XTND is light, and can be worn around the neck thanks to its specially designed ergonomic temples. Available in a wide range of colors, all B+D materials are FDA-approved, non-toxic and hypoallergenic.
"Many users of reading glasses are never sure how to face up the problem of what to do with their glasses when they are not in use,” says B+D CEO Roberto Crom. “When you stop reading and take your glasses off, how do you ensure that they are not scratched or, even worse, lost? We have solved this problem in a simple and ingenious way, with our XTND range which has just been developed."
B+D will also be presenting its new B+D Watch during TFWA World Exhibition 2012 in Cannes (stand A21, Yellow Village). This is the company’s first move into a category beyond eyewear, following the adoption of the new brand approach, “design applied to everyday life.”
“This strategic move follows a review of new product possibilities and we found that the core strengths of the brand could be represented in the watches category,” says Crom.
Present in the leading travel retail stores throughout the world, the unisex design was inspired by the Danish origins of the brand and is available in a wide range of colors.
