MAC Cosmetics is open for business at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) as part of the the airports Concessions Refresh program. The airport and Dress for Success (DFS) Indianapolis celebrated the retailer’s grand opening today by giving a small group of local women makeovers and professional headshot photos to enhance their presence for career success.

MAC Cosmetics is one of 15 new store concepts that have opened at the Indy airport as a part of the Concessions Refresh program. The program will deliver new shopping and dining options that include local brands that reflect what it’s like to experience Indianapolis. The cosmetics retailer also promotes personal self-expression and female empowerment – which aligns with the Indy airport’s own commitment to its internal hiring and promotional practices and support of women-owned businesses.

“MAC Cosmetics is a welcome addition to the mix of national and local brands that reflect the diverse range of retail and food-and-beverage concepts at IND,” said Mario Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “MAC’s business model is based on celebrating diversity and individuality, and that philosophy aligns exactly with IND's business practices."

Rodriguez also applauded Dress for Success of Indianapolis in joining today's event and providing makeovers that further encourages individuality and diversity by providing the women with the confidence needed to be successful.

“Dress for Success Indianapolis is grateful for the partnership with the Indianapolis Airport Authority engaging staff in volunteerism, presenting job opportunities to women seeking employment, and by conducting clothing drives,” said Julie Petr, Executive Director, Dress for Success of Indianapolis. “Giving DFS clients the chance to put their best face forward by receiving MAC Cosmetics and makeovers is a continuation of this generous support!”

MAC Cosmetics, which offers passengers a variety of top beauty products, is located post-security in Concourse B. MAC is operated by Paradies Lagardère, which operates several other retail stores throughout the Indy airport.

“Paradies Lagardère is committed to bringing the very best brands into airports across North America, and we’re excited to have MAC Cosmetics as a part of our brand portfolio,” said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO, Paradies Lagardère. “MAC Cosmetics is an iconic and dynamic brand, well-loved by many for their creativity and innovation, and respected for their commitment to diversity, inclusion and philanthropy. We’re not only pleased to open our first MAC store at the Indianapolis International Airport, but to partner with and support Dress for Success Indianapolis to celebrate the new store. This event, which gives back to the community, is not only a MAC Cosmetics core value, but ours as well.”
