Lima Airport Partners (LAP) is set to begin the expansion of Lima Jorge Chávez International Airport, Peru’s most important airport.
In a ceremony that took place at the airport on October 29, President Vizcarra announced the important milestone in the history of Lima Airport.
Under LAP’s planned schedule, the runway will be ready by the first trimester of 2022, and the terminal by the last trimester of 2023.
The cost of construction of this “mega-project” will be more than US$1.5 billion, LAP said.
Lima Airport Partners will initiate the works in December 2018.
