By Wendy Morley

Registration has opened for the Airports Going Green 2021 conference, the aviation industry’s leading annual forum on sustainability.

Founded by the Chicago Department of Aviation and co-hosted by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the 14th edition of the event will be held virtually over two days: November 16 and November 17.

Speakers will discuss aviation’s pressing environmental topics: ESG frameworks and finance, electrification and decarbonization.

Awards for outstanding projects, programs and individuals will also be presented. Nominations for Airports Going Green 2021 Awards are due October 22.

The Chicago Department of Aviation founded the Airports Going Green conference in 2007 to foster information sharing and partnerships among peer airports, aviation thought leaders and all other stakeholders who share a vision for aviation sustainability.

Co-hosted by AAAE, this annual conference welcomes attendees to participate in key discussions with airport business partners, government leaders and top-level speakers from around the world.
