Westfield begins CEP at Newark Liberty
Westfield has begun its competitive evaluation process (CP) for 29 concessions being offered in Terminal B at Newark Liberty International (EWR).
These 29 concessions comprise 3,066 square meters, and are divided into seven categories: ATMs, currency exchange, duty free, food and beverage, health and wellness, specialty retail and travel essentials.
“This will be a significant redevelopment of Terminal B and the beginning of an enhanced traveler experience,” says Iris Messina, vice president of leasing for Westfield. She confirms the company will consider both local and international brands. “We’re looking for unique brands and motivated partners who are excited about working with us to reimagine terminal B and highlight the amazing sights, sounds and flavours of New Jersey,” she affirms.
Proposals are due by Jan. 31, 2017. Westfield will host an outreach event and tour of the terminal on Dec. 13 where it will present its vision.
Newark Airport served 37 million passengers in 2015. Along with LaGuardia, the airport will be undergoing major renovations in the coming years.
