IAADFS looks forward to a strong business environment for 2013 show

By Ryan White

The 2013 IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas will be held April 7-10 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida. With strong pre-registration figures for buyers and a sold-out exhibit hall featuring nearly 200 exhibiting companies, all indicators point to a successful show for 2013, says the organization.

In addition to the many exhibitors who were present in 2012 and who are returning for 2013, IAADFS is pleased to be welcoming more than 30 first-time exhibitors, including the following:

A. Fuente & Co.
ATRA World Jewelery Group
Biaggi USA
BMC Imports
Bodegas Franco-Espanolas
Desigual
Eclectic Collections
Elite SRL
Extreme Design Srl
F Beverages Ltd.
Fervor
Flawless Holding
Haribo GmbH & Co.
Ice SA
LuckyClover
Marlite

Reba Americas
Sarkli Repechage
Sayan
ScentStory
Schaefer Toy Company GmbH
Shopper Shop
Toxic Eyewear/Opticaset
TPR Holdings
Tu-Be Branding
Wefort
Wonderful Pistachios
Zeikos

For 2013, IAADFS also welcomes back over a dozen previous exhibitors returning to the show after an absence, including Anne Klein Watches; CBM/Meade Ray; Crislu Corporation; INCC Group; Joanel; Motta Internacional SA; Parlux; Specialty Brands Wines & Spirits; SPI Spirits Cyprus; The Underberg Group; Troika Germany GmbH; Victorinox Travel Gear; and Viva Sales & Services.

The exhibit hall has continued to grow each year since the show’s return to Orlando in 2009, says IAADFS, and the 2013 floorplan is 2.7% larger than 2012. The updated floorplan and exhibitor list can be found at http://www.iaadfs.org/2013floorplan.

Advance registration for the show has been open since November, and registration figures for 2013 are ahead of 2012 totals, with buyer registrations running 13% ahead of 2012 totals based on the same number of weeks out from the event. Attendee RSVPs for the 2013 Gala Evening are also strong, as are hotel bookings.

For the 2013 show IAADFS has maintained the single registration option that includes access to the exhibit hall plus all IAADFS-sponsored social events—the Opening Reception, Gala Evening and Club Americas. “This revised registration structure helps to maximize participation in all social events, making these events even better networking opportunities for all attendees,” says the organization.

Sunday’s Sports Day program will again feature golf, tennis, soccer, and zumba, and registration for Sports Day activities is available as part of the overall show registration process.

Pre-registration for the show will be open until the opening of on-site registration on the morning of Saturday, April 6. Additional information about the 2013 Duty Free Show of the Americas can be found at http://www.iaadfs.org/dutyfreeshow.
