Canadian distributor BHI enters liquor category with Iconic Brewing Co

Well-known Canadian distributor BHI has delved into the distribution of liquor

BHI has announced a partnership with Iconic Brewing Co – the first time the Canadian distribution group has dealt in the liquor category.

BHI is planning on holding tastings throughout the summer at numerous Canadian border stores to help drive sales and awareness of Iconic’s products.

Commenting on the new partnership, BHI President Michael Beler said: “We felt it was perfect to work with a young, aspiring company such as Iconic Brewing Co who have yet to enter the duty free market. It is a great opportunity for both of us to grow together. We are working together closely to market this brand properly and showcase how well the products can perform.”

He continued: “It is important for BHI to help showcase and promote local Canadian companies such as Iconic to the fullest. We truly believe this is just the start for us in the liquor category spearheaded by our new Category Manager Marcel DeBellis (below).”

Iconic Brewing Co has a total of four brands:

Cottage Springs Vodka Soda is made with sparkling spring water, gluten-free vodka and a hint of natural flavor. The drinks are available in two flavors, Lemon Lime and Ontario Peach, and are sugar-free, sweetener-free with only 99 calories.

Liberty Village Craft Cider is described as Ontario’s first sugar-free hard cider. Made with 100% Ontario apples with zero preservatives and uniquely fermented to zero sugar (with no sugar re-added like most ciders), the dry cider contains no sugar, no sweetener and is gluten-free.

Cabana Coast Refreshments are small batch premium cocktails handcrafted for sipping.

The Cabana Coast Moscow Mule is made with ultra-premium vodka, spicy ginger beer and a dash of lime, while the Cabana Coast Cucumber Gin & Tonic is made with craft distilled gin, fizzy tonic water, cucumber, lime and a hint of mint for a refreshing cocktail that is not too sweet.

Dusty Boots Hard Root Beer is described as Canada’s first hard root beer and is made in Canada. The 5.9%abv product is brewed like a beer and infused with traditional root beer flavors and spices.

Iconic Brewing Co also partners with the following companies:

Beattie’s Distillers, a family-run distillery in Alliston, Ontario, is Ontario’s first craft distillery to offer premium potato vodka. All products are grown on site, distilled at its own facility and bottled by its farm staff.

Naughty Otter, a craft beer from the Thousand Island region, brews easy-drinking, all-natural craft beers of the highest quality, created in the belief that good beer is meant to be fun.

Iconic Brewing Co also does a lot of charity work with the Trevor Barton Memorial Foundation, which helps raise money to put thousands of kids in organized sports who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it.
