Carrie Soderstrom joins Maui Jim as Brand Manager for travel retail

Carrie Soderstrom joins Maui Jim after 11 years at MedPro Advantage

To strengthen its penetration into the global marketplace for travel retail, Maui Jim has appointed Carrie Soderstrom as Brand Manager, Travel Retail, to enhance market efforts for the company’s PolarizedPlus2 sunglasses.

Soderstrom will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives for global duty free and travel retail accounts, working closely with the company’s duty free sales team to provide dedicated marketing support and identify opportunities for brand positioning, promotions and events.

Soderstrom joins Maui Jim after 11 years at MedPro Advantage, LLC, in Peoria, IL, where she held the positions of Director of Business Analytics, Director of Sales and eCommerce, and Purchasing and Inventory Manager. While there, she developed expertise in directing business operations, marketing, customer service and financial decisions across multiple divisions and leading large teams of people for the medical management corporation, which runs dermatology clinics, plastic surgery practices, spas and surgical centers in Illinois and Iowa.

She also held the position of National Account Manager, Federal Division, at CDW in Vernon Hills, IL. The company is a leading provider of integrated information technology solutions for 250,000 small, medium and large business, government, education and healthcare customers in the US and Canada.  Soderstrom was one of the company’s top sales managers, working with more than 100 Federal government accounts.

Soderstromison Port Holdings and the Maritime Company for Navigation, commented: "Shipping lines want to come to port for the same length of time, but with more cargo; they want to come for the same length of time, but with larger vessels, so it is our job to look after those vessels," he said.
