Ferrero boosts presence in Americas market in drive for growth
Ferrero Travel Market has identified North and South America as the next markets with significant travel retail potential for its portfolio of premium brands.
After having invested extensively in Asia in recent years, the company has recorded impressive growth in sales in the region, and is now planning to widen its focus to include selected markets in the “West”.
The Ferrero travel retail product range, comprising best-selling lines and travel-exclusive skus from the Kinder, Nutella, Tic Tac and Ferrero Rocher collections, is ready for distribution in the region. The next step is for the company to focus its energies on developing distribution networks and generating visibility throughout the region.
Francois Godin, Managing Director Ferrero Travel Market said: “The Americas are key markets for us and we see a lot of opportunities for our brands which are already on shelf in domestic markets and are loved by many Americans. To date in these markets Ferrero brands have been under-represented in duty free compared with domestic.”
Demonstrating its commitment to the area, Ferrero Travel Market has reinforced the team headed by Karen Granit, now Sales Area Manager, who will be supported by Monica Burke in North America and soon by Luca Marigo for South America.
In her new role Granit will be reporting directly to Juan Cabrera, worldwide Sales Director.
