Caran d’Ache and UNHCR partner for “Youth with Refugees” art contest

By Jas Ryat

Caran d’Ache invites you to use your creativity to the benefit of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and promote awareness with the hashtag: #Everyonecounts

During this somewhat turbulent time period, the call to stay at home has been stronger than ever. The idea of a home that is synonymous with safety is nevertheless not the same for everyone.

Caran d’Ache is honored to be a partner of the “Youth with Refugees” art contest. Launched by UNHCR, it encourages budding artists aged between 12 – 25 years to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic among refugees and internally displaced persons around the globe.

We are delighted to be involved with this project, which is close to our hearts and encourages both solidarity and creativity. Today, the 70.8 million people who have been forced to flee their homes to escape conflict are among those who are most vulnerable to the coronavirus.

The aim of this drawing contest is to remind the general public that no one should be forgotten during this unprecedented pandemic because #Everyonecounts.

Take part in the contest to help us spread the message by registering here.

To inaugurate this partnership, our ambassador, the illustrator Nina Cosford, will produce drawings live on the theme of #Everyonecounts on the Caran d’Ache Instagram account at 5 p.m. (GMT+2) on June 3 & on the UNHCR Instagram account (@refugees) at 4 p.m.(GMT+2) on June 5.

The deadline of participating in the contest is June 10.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, #Everyonecounts.
