Michael Kors is seduced by The Gold Collection fragrance trio
Michael Kors has announced a new fragrance collection based on the US brand’s emblematic gold color theme.
Each of the three scents in The Gold Collection was designed to reflect the opulence of the highly prized metal, from white, to rose, to 24 carat gold.
Gold was chosen because it “embodies the luxe glamour of the Michael Kors woman and has become a hallmark of Michael’s world, from lustrous fabrics and sun-kissed skin to high-shine hardware and gilded jewelry”, the brand said.
The three fragrances aim to offer a scent for every occasion, mood and personal aesthetic.
The White Luminous Gold fragrance is described as sparkling and sensuous, with notes of pear, jasmine and amber in a bright and exotic signature.
Dubbed feminine and seductive, 24K Brilliant Gold contains orange mandarin, florals and a spark of woodiness, while Rose Radiant Gold focuses on sparkling fruits, textured with rich, feminine florals and soft musks.
To complement the launch of The Gold Collection, Michael Kors is simultaneously introducing a new collection of modern, bold jewelry. The fragrance bottles mirror the aesthetic of the jewelry’s sleek, structural shapes.
The advertising campaign, captured by Mario Testino, features Karmen Pedaru, Michael Kors’ muse, wearing mixed metallic accessories. Testino’s print and online advertising will roll out in August 2015.
The Gold Fragrance Collection will be available at travel retail locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa beginning in July 2015, then in the Americas and Asia Pacific from August 2015.
All fragrances are available in 100ml and 50ml, with pricing available on request.
