Glo, an electronic device that is designed to heat Neosticks, is now available to purchase in the travel retail market of Japan

Following the successful launch of Glo in the Japanese domestic market, BAT announced that their Next Generation Product (NGP) Glo and Kent Neostiks are now available to purchase in the travel retail channel in Japan. Glo launched in November in Haneda and Narita airports and will launch in Kansai in December 2017, giving adult consumers the opportunity to choose between four variants of Kent Neosticks – Bright Tobacco, Fresh Mix, Smooth Fresh and Intensely Fresh.

Jose Benikes, General Manager BAT Global Travel Retail explained, “Travel retail plays a key role in allowing conversation with engaged adult consumers and we are excited to be able to demonstrate to our partners and adult consumers world class creative execution through our on-shelf materials, smoking lounges and consumer activation - each providing them with a memorable multi-sensorial experience”.

Glo officially launched in November in Haneda and Narita airports and will launch in Kansai at the end of the year

Glo is an electronic device that is designed to heat Neosticks, and its ‘one button, one device’ design makes it simple and intuitive. Designed in the UK, its development has involved over 100 experts across five continents. The device has an easy-to-grip design and is also easy to clean and maintain due to it not leaving any ash in the device after using. Glo is also unique in that a single change can provide up to 35 sessions, providing convenience to the adult consumer.
