Brown-Forman launches TR-exclusive The Glendronach Forgue Aged 10 Years
Brown-Forman’s growing single malt collection has just been given an important addition in The GlenDronach Forgue Aged 10 Years – the famed Forgue Valley distillery’s first ever expression exclusively for global travel retail.
One of Scotland’s oldest and most respected, The GlenDronach Distillery is known for its authenticity and craftsmanship. This new exclusive speaks to the distillery’s expertise in sherry maturation, as it’s aged in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks. It is bottled at 43 percent ABV and is non-chill filtered, allowing it to absorb a natural color as it matures in Spanish oak casks.
Brown-Forman is crafting a formidable grouping of travel retail exclusive single malts, including BenRiach Quarter Cask, BenRiach Quarter Cask Peated and BenRiach 10 Year-Old Triple Distilled – good company for The GlenDronach Forgue Aged 10 Years.
Master Blender Rachel Barrie describes The GlenDronach Forgue Aged 10 Years as “a richly sherried single malt with an unashamedly Highland character and a taste that is a cornucopia of bramble fruit and oak with notes of harvest-ripe barley reflecting the Forgue Valley’s rich and fertile landscape.”
Marshall Farrer, senior vice president and managing director of Brown-Forman global travel retail welcomed The GlenDronach Single Malt as a terrific addition to the portfolio. “We view travel retail as the perfect channel to ensure we are reaching The GlenDronach connoisseurs around the globe with unique and world-class whiskies,” he said. “Offering the Forgue exclusively in travel retail underscores our commitment to providing our consumers and customers alike with spirits of the highest caliber. The GlenDronach Forgue Aged 10 Year Old meets, and perhaps exceeds, that standard,” Farrer said.
