Brown-Forman travel retail launches Southern Comfort’s first TR-exclusive flavor

Blood orange has become the darling of culinary experts and mixologists around the world

Brown-Forman has announced the launch of its new Southern Comfort Blood Orange, to be introduced at IAADFS in Orlando.

Blood orange has become the darling of culinary experts and mixologists in recent years. Therefore the timing is ripe for Southern Comfort to introduce its latest flavor, Southern Comfort Blood Orange.  Southern Comfort Blood Orange will be introduced at IAADFS in Orlando in March, 2015. 

A perfect blend of unique Southern Comfort flavors, Southern Comfort Blood Orange will be the brand’s first global travel retail (GTR) exclusive flavor. The World Duty Free Group has exclusivity to the new product for three months, from May to July.  Other duty free outlets around the world will begin carrying Southern Comfort Blood Orange in August, 2015. Using the slogan, “Grab an Orange by The Bottle,” Southern Comfort Blood Orange is being touted as the perfect drink for sun-soaked summer vacations.  Promotional activities will include sampling of key serves at airports, on ferries and at other vacation transportation hubs around the world.

“Southern Comfort Blood Orange has outstanding flavor and is great for cocktails or simply enjoyed over ice,” explained Jeannine Wise, GTR marketing director for Brown-Forman.
