The Famous Grouse Vic Lee Special Edition to be launched

The design is inspired by the world of the grouse and the natural elements of the whisky-making process

The Famous Grouse has collaborated with award-winning illustrator and renowned storyteller Vic Lee to create a special edition for travel retail: The Famous Grouse 16-year-old Double Matured Blended Scotch Whisky.  

This 16-year-old is a blend of eight different whiskies married over time. Gordon Motion, Master Blender of The Famous Grouse, says “It has been matured twice to ensure a depth of flavor.” The two maturations occur in first-fill Spanish sherry casks and first-fill bourbon casks. This brings to the whisky a robust, spicy flavor of nutmeg and cinnamon bark with a hint of vanilla.

Ryan Hill, Regional Director, Asia Travel Retail, Edrington, says: “The travelling consumer in Asia is drawn by special packaging and limited-edition product offers from trusted global brands, products that are rich in heritage and stunning on the shelf. The Famous Grouse 16YO Vic Lee special edition ticks all those boxes and, therefore, we anticipate an enthusiastic response in store to this unusual double-matured blend.”

The signed Vic Lee special edition is the first in a new series of annual collectible editions with bespoke packaging. This edition will be available at key airports throughout Asia, including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok in addition to some domestic locations.
