KRIB – part of Kreol Group – recently launched its operations at Cochin International Airport Duty Free. The primary objectives of the company are to provide trained talent for brand owners to promote their products and staffing solutions for airports in various departments such as customer services, retail, logistics and airlines. Lal Arakulath, CEO, Kreol Group, states: “Our focus will be to provide comprehensive services to airports in India.”

Kreol Group is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The team is engaged in a number of diverse activities including travel retail distribution (in the Indian subcontinent, Middle East & Africa) and landslide distribution of food products, apparel and footwear (across the domestic markets of Arabian Gulf countries). One of the group companies is in a joint venture with DUFRY in India.

With 464 airports spread across the country, reports indicate that the aviation sector currently contributes $72 billion to India’s GDP. At the start of 2019, total passenger traffic in India surpassed 316 million. The Maintenance-Repair-Overhaul industry is projected to reach more than $1 billon by next year. “In these circumstances, we see substantial potential for growth both now and in the future,” adds Lal Arakulath.
