TFWA aims to widen representation within affiliate trade associations

By Laura Shirk

Following the recent election of new President, Jaya Singh, and the Board, TFWA is looking at widening its representation within its affiliate trade associations. The goal is to benefit from a more diverse and effective board whose members offer broad expertise.

Furthermore, a more co-ordinated approach to its relationships with other associations will ensure that TFWA plays its part to enable the industry to speak with one common voice and with one common purpose. As the industry’s leading associations work together to show its value across local, provincial and global economies, the approach will also help to minimize duplication of effort.

TFWA is pleased to share the following:

  • TFWA President, Jaya Singh, will represent TFWA at the Duty Free World Council Board
  • TFWA Vice President Finance, Frédéric Garcia-Pelayo, will represent TFWA at the MEADFA Board
  • TFWA Vice President Commercial, Donatienne de Fontaines-Guillaume, will represent TFWA at the ETRC Board
  • TFWA Vice President Corporate, Sam Gerber, will represent TFWA at the APTRA Board

"I'm fortunate to serve on a very talented and experienced TFWA Board, and I'm keen that we share their experience and insights with our friends serving on trade bodies around the world. At this time of crisis, we place greater value than ever on industry outreach, and TFWA is determined to support the vital work being done on behalf of our industry by our sister associations, says Singh.
