Coccinelle introduces Face of Nations Spring/Summer 2018 collection

Coccinelle’s Ambrine bag for Spring/Summer 18 features ethnic prints

Coccinelle has unveiled details of its Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which is now available in travel retail stores worldwide.

The Face of Nations collection celebrates women and multiculturalism.

The Afro Beat in the City line is described as a free, unconfined way to mix influences of African folk culture with the revolutionary avant-garde of the 20th-century West. It celebrates freedom of expression against all stereotypes.

The line is brought to life in iconic Coccinelle creations such as the Ambrine and Arlettis bags, conveyed in unexpected materials and colors. Rattan, ethnic patterns, bold fastenings, zigzags, prints and embroidery blend together, just like on an imaginary totem pole.

The Frais et Spontané line draws inspiration from distant lands with more delicate undertones, the subtle shades of wild flowers and the freshness of meadow dew.

Colors, nuances and prints offer a gentle, unexpected femininity and lightness. An air of romanticism is suggested by the use of pastel suedes and two-tone lace details.

Coccinelle uses new materials, such as textiles and rattan, in a mini picnic hamper for the city.

A childish fruit print makes the range more ironic and sophisticated, embellishing sporty nylon and used on the accessories range in the form of scarves, jewelry and hats.

The feminine collection was developed by the two women who now head up Coccinelle’s creative team. “All of their designs have function before form, fulfilling a modern woman’s wants and needs. Every bag holds every women's emotions,” they said.
