Heinemann Australia opens new retail spaces at Gold Coast Airport
Duty-free retailer Heinemann Australia has opened its second location at Australia’s Gold Coast Airport.
Heinemann’s new retail spaces includes two shops in the departures and arrival areas. The shops will offer all categories of its product range across around 430 square meters’ in departures and 300 square meters in arrivals. Both shops will sell spirits, wine, champagne, as well as perfume and cosmetics.
Commenting on the new retail spaces, Richard Goodman, Managing Director of Heinemann Australia said: “Sydney was a first – and very substantial step for Gebr. Heinemann to enter the Australian market.”
“Our focus continues to grow profitability in this region and we see the Gold Coast Airport as an ideal location and perfect partnership for us.”
Gold Coast Airport Chief Operating Officer Marion Charlton said she was excited to be partnering with Heinemann as the airport enters a new growth phase.
“As one of the fastest growing airports in Australia, we are constantly looking to enhance the travel experience and retail offering for our visitors,” said Charlton.
The two stores are undergoing renovation and will be revealed in December 2018. After the renovations and over the course of the terminal expansion, the stores will be expanded and receive a new design concept by 2020.
