DFS Group kicked off its annual holiday gifting campaign, titled “Give Joy” at its T Galleria outlet in Okinawa, Japan, today (November 26).

To celebrate this festive season, DFS is showcasing its first ever “Personalization Gift Shop” concept, where customers can customize their gifts with an array of dedicated brand pop-ups, branded personalization stations and services.

The campaign’s opening ceremony was attended by more than 300 guests, including well-known Japanese celebrity Sumire. There was also a lighting ceremony of the Jo Malone London Christmas Tree, followed by a mesmerizing performance from a local gospel choir.

During the event, guests were treated to a wide variety of unique personalization services, ranging from monogramming leather goods, to adorning t-shirts and tote bags with Foxy’s six DFS exclusive emoji iron-on patches. The patches are specially designed by acclaimed Japanese illustrator Foxy for the “Give Joy” Gifting campaign.

The guests also enjoyed gifting-themed entertainment such as a special visit from Santa Claus and a specially designed “candygram” corner filled with sweet treats.

We are delighted to kick off the festive season at T Galleria by DFS, Okinawa by bringing the excitement of discovery and the luxury of personalization to our global traveling customers,” said Ariel Gentzbourger, DFS Group Executive Vice President Merchandising.

With a long history in Japan, DFS offers a curated selection of international and local brands for their customers. DFS’s stores in downtown and Naha Airport, Okinawa are the only locations in Japan where Japan residents can enjoy duty-free shopping domestically.
