Lotte scores double win at major web awards

Lotte Duty Free has once again scooped up top awards at the prestigious Web Awards

Lotte Duty Free’s marketing efforts have been recognized with top awards at the prestigious Web Awards 2018.

The awards were for “Mobile Web Marketing” category and the “Special Creative Award” in the Smart App Awards category. The award ceremony was hosted by the Korea Internet Professionals Association (KIPFA).

This is the second consecutive year that Lotte has won top prizes. Last year, it won the top prize in the overall shopping mall and advertising promotion categories.

The Web Awards is Korea’s top online platform award that recognizes the most innovative and successful mobile apps and websites. The award is judged by a 3,000 strong panel of web experts who evaluated companies based on 18 performance indicators in six categories. The categories include visual design, user interface (UI) design, technology, content and service.

This year, Lotte has improved convenience for customers with major initiatives such as updating the main user menus like the search bar, categories and including QR codes to make these functions more easily accessible.

Additionally, Lotte has simplified the existing payment process by improving the entire order process and integrated its payment process.

Lotte Duty Free has maintained its number one spot in the online duty free market through aggressive online marketing. The company has seen its accumulated sales increase by 50% in the third quarter of this year, as compared to the same period last year.
