Duty Free Philippines introduces new ‘Shop-Now-Pick-Later’ program
Travelers at Duty Free Philippines Corporation now have the option to shop before departure and pick up their purchases upon returning, if they are eligible for DFPC’s ‘Travelite Program’
Duty Free Philippines Corporation (DFPC), Philippines’ only tax-free travel retailer, has launched a ‘Shop-Now-Pick-Later’ program.
Called the ‘Travelite Program’, this initiative allows Regular Filipino Travelers (RFT) and Foreign International Travelers (FIT) to shop before they depart and collect the purchases upon return. The program also provides a 7% discount on major items.
DFPC Chief Operating Officer (COO) Vicente Pelagio A. Angala said that travelers who have a confirmed departure ticket for an international flight and returning to the country within 30 days are eligible for this program.
“By ‘lite’ we mean no more extra baggage on the trip and no more excess baggage fees to pay, plus we give you a 7% discount,” said Angala.
“The purchases made are packed at most 3 days before expected date of return,” he added.
To participate in this program, international travelers can simply show their return ticket at participating DFPC departure outlets at Ninoy Aquino International Aiporort (NAIA) Terminal 1, 2 and 3, and Mactan Cebu International Airport’s Pre-departure and Departure Area.
