State-owned Duty Free Philippines has opened its newest and largest store at the Ninoy Aquino Airport Terminal 3

Duty Free Philippines (DFP) has opened a 3,000 square meters store at the arrivals area in Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s (NAIA) Terminal 3 on July 4. This is the retailer’s largest store and it was opened in anticipation of an influx in tourists.

The new store, which is thrice the size of a regular airport store, is located between the exits of the arrivals area and the car park building. It carries a wide array of products such as groceries, perfumes, watches, apparel, chocolates, wines, spirits, home furnishings and more. Some of the international brands available are Lacoste, Salvatore Ferragamo, Calvin Klein, Clinique and Estée Lauder.

In an interview with the Philstar, Vicente Pelagio Angala, the Chief Operating Officer of the DFP explained that the NAIA is the largest terminal in the Metro Manila and thus provides access to foreign tourists and Overseas Filipino Workers which form the bulk of DFP’s customers. DFP also expects the store to be a key revenue generator as it is usually the third highest sales contributor, according to Angala.

DFP is state-owned and under the purview of the Philippines’ Department of Tourism. The retailer had previously announced big plans to open new stores at the international airports of Puerto Princesa, Palawan and Panglao, Bohol this year. All three locations are located in the Philippines.
