DFS temporarily closes 2 Hong Kong stores as COVID-19 preventive measure
To protect its customers and staff’s safety, DFS has decided to temporarily close two of its Hong Kong stores, amidst the COVID-19 virus outbreak
DFS is maintaining its temporary closure for T Galleria by DFS, Tsimshatsui East and T Galleria Beauty by DFS MOKO in Hong Kong until March 16, 2020. The retailer said that it is doing so “out of an abundance of caution” to protect its customers and staff against COVID-19.
Commenting on this move, a DFS spokesperson said: “This is a purely preventative step which will allow us to focus our resources and efforts on a reduced store footprint while balancing the need to continue to serve our customers. To date, there have been no cases of the coronavirus in any of our store locations and we will continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure our stores remain hygienic and safe environments for all.”
Apart from these two stores, the rest of DFS’ stores – T Galleria by DFS, Canton Road or T Galleria Beauty by DFS, Causeway Bay stores, remain open. Customers can also purchase DFS’ products through its Click and Collect service on the DFS website.
