Lotte Duty Free staff to telecommute to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Apart from the minimum number of workers at its headquarters required to respond to emergency situations, the rest of Lotte Duty Free’s employees are to telecommute from tomorrow to March 6

Lotte Duty Free’s CEO Lee Kap has announced that its executives and employees at its headquarters will telecommute from tomorrow to March 6, 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Apart from the minimum number of workers at its headquarters required to respond to emergency situations, the rest of its employees are to telecommute. The retailer said the telecommuting period may be extended depending on the situation.

Commenting on this move, Lee Kap said: “Lotte Duty Free is doing its best to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health of customers and executives."

Prior to that, on January 24, Lotte Duty Free formed an emergency committee headed by Lee Kap to operate a regular response system. It also conducted disinfection in stores and made it mandatory for employees to wear masks. The company also provides masks to customers who need them.
