DFS unveils huge wines and spirits duplex store at Changi Airport T2
DFS Group has launched its second Wines and Spirits Duplex store at Singapore Changi Airport, inspired by the heritage and craftsmanship of the wine, spirits and tobacco worlds.
Located in Terminal 2, the duplex displays three DFS in-store concepts: The Wine Reserve, The Cigar Room and The Whiskey House.
The duplex spans two floors at 15,520 square feet and was created by designer Masamichi Katayama. Customers can have an interactive shopping experience, while sampling and exploring DFS’s assortment of more than 900 products from over 240 wines, spirits and tobacco brands.

The Wine Reserve features over 350 products from the world’s top wineries from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Australia, the USA, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal. The enomatic dispenser features 12 different wines for tasting.
The Cigar Room offers a wide assortment of the world’s finest cigars from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. A range of limited-edition accessories includes a collection in special travel sizes catering to travelers as well as cigar humidors and cigar cases.
The Wines and Spirits Duplex offers 179 single malts, 68 blended Scotch whiskies, 30 American whiskeys as well as leading Japanese whiskies Yamazaki, Hibiki, Suntory Chita and Kavalan from Taiwan. Boasting the largest assortment of single malt whiskies offered by any travel retailer in the region, the location builds on DFS at Changi Airport’s reputation as the travel retailer of the year, as awarded by Whisky Magazine in 2015.
The upper level introduces the all-new Whiskey House concept, where guests can enjoy complimentary tastings of over 100 different whiskies from across the globe. The Whiskey House’s staff will design individual sampling experiences for guests to assist in their selection process.
In addition to The Whiskey House, the upper level hosts seven individually branded boutiques from
Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Hennessy, Johnnie Walker, Remy Martin, The Dalmore and The Macallan, all tailored to reflect each brand. Guests have the opportunity to meet master distillers, blenders and brand ambassadors as well as tailored tastings from the brands inside the boutiques.
DFS will be hosting a Whiskey Festival to celebrate the launch of the T2 duplex from July 27 to September 10. The Whiskey Festival will showcase a series of events on Friday and Saturday evenings. A different whiskey brand will be featured each weekend with guest appearances from their brand ambassadors, special master classes and food pairing sessions.
Three complimentary whiskey cocktails representing Scotland, the US and Japan will be available for sampling throughout the festival at The Whiskey House at DFS’s T2 duplex and The Long Bar by Raffles at DFS’s T3 duplex.

Changi Airport Group CEO Mr Lee Seow Hiang called the duplex a “positively surprising retail experience”.
