An event that has taken place annually since 1993, the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup of 2020 has been canceled, organizers have announced.

The 28th annual event was to be held on 25th and 26th November at the Address Montgomerie Golf Club and the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.

The tournament regularly attracts over 110 industry executives from all over the world.

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of Dubai Duty Free commented: “In light of the ongoing impact of Covid-19, we have decided to cancel this year’s Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup, which has taken place every year now since 1993. The tournament is a much-loved industry event that attracts industry representatives from all over the world who come together in Dubai for a friendly two days of golf and socializing.

“However, the health and safety of guests takes priority at this time and I can assure our local and overseas golfers that we are already planning for the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup in November 2021.”
