ETRC appoints Ricardo Oliveira as Senior Counsel

The European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC) has announced the appointment of Ricardo Oliveira as ETRC Senior Counsel. This assignment, in which Oliveira will act as external consultant, is intended to support the association in its advocacy work during this crucial time.
Oliviera will advise ETRC on specific regulatory matters of importance to the travel retail channel, both in Europe and globally.
With a background in Law and Engineering, Oliviera is an accredited mediator in addition to being an experienced general counsel and consultant specialized in public affairs and communication, including strategic engagement and campaigning on regulatory matters.
A Brazilian and Portuguese national, Oliviera previously worked for multinational companies including IBM and BAT. He has lived in five different countries.
ETRC President Nigel Keal said of the appointment: “Ricardo’s appointment as external consultant comes at a critical time as ETRC seeks to strengthen its capabilities to enable it to meet the ever-growing number of challenges that we are faced with. Working in close cooperation with Secretary General Julie Lassaigne, Ricardo will apply his expertise in government and industry affairs to the benefits of ETRC members.’’
