SPI adds Arinzano Estate to its wine portfolio
SPI recently announced the addition of a new winery in its portfolio, with the acquisition of the Arinzano Winery. The Arinzano estate, which is located in the northeast of Spain, offers PAGO-classified wine. This classification is only awarded to estates that demonstrate continued excellence in climate, terroir and winemaking. The Señorio de Arínzano estate has been recognized for the excellence of its vineyards since the 11th century, when the noble Sancho Fortuñones de Arínzano first produced wines on the property.
The company’s wine division has been growing, and includes the award-winning Achaval Ferrer from Mendoza, Argentina and prestigious Italian estates; Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, Castelgiocondo and Luce della Vite, a joint-venture with Marchesi de’Frescobaldi and renowned Californian wine producer Michael Mondavi.
“It is with this clear heritage and commitment to quality that makes Arinzano such a great fit with the brands of SPI Group,” commentsAlexey Oliynik, CEO of SPI Group, adding: “With this impressive and expanding division of our business, SPI Group is delighted to create HEW Holding B.V. to spearhead future growth within our wine portfolio.”
