DFWC to host second webinar on state of the industry
The Duty Free World Council (DFWC) is to host a webinar titled Route to Recovery presenting important updates on the state of the duty free and travel retail industry.
The DFWC’s first webinar was held in June and received very positive feedback on the quality of the content presented, the association said.
The event will set out the most up-to-date air traffic data, courtesy of ACI World, and highlight the latest measures taken by the DFWC itself and all regional associations, plus TFWA, to garner support for the industry through the exceptional challenges of the pandemic.
Keynote presentations will be given by DFWC President Sarah Branquinho and Patrick Lucas, Director Economics, ACI World.
The presidents of the industry’s regional associations will also present detailed updates on what is happening in their respective regions, and their continuing efforts to gain recognition of the impact on the industry, and to secure financial relief for the sector.
The webinar will cover air traffic levels and provide forecasts from ACI World on the recovery trajectory and will include comments from the regional associations on cruise lines and ferries, and border stores.
The webinar will be held on Thursday, September 17 from 14.00 to 15.30 hrs CET.
