Dubai Duty Free has scooped three Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards at two separate events.

The awards were presented recently at the Global CSR Summit and Awards, and at the Golden Globe Tigers Awards, held in Indonesia and Malaysia, respectively.

Commenting on the latest CSR awards, Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, said: “We are delighted to be honored at the Global CSR Summit and Awards and Golden Globe Tigers Awards, which reaffirm our commitment to achieve and maintain high standards of environment, health and safety performance, as well as our support of worthy causes."

At the annual Global CSR Summit and Awards held in Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort, Lombok, Indonesia, organized by Pinnacle Group International, Dubai Duty Free was a Bronze awardee for Best Environmental Excellence Award.

This award recognized the operation’s commitment to sustainability and promotion of environmental protection within and outside the organization.

Dubai Duty Free was one of 56 companies awarded top honors in the 11 main award categories.

Bernard Creed, Senior Vice President – Finance, was one of the 20 international speakers presenting best practices in CSR, who attended the conference and awards ceremony.

Dubai Duty Free also walked away with two Golden Globe Tigers Awards at a ceremony held at the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel and Residence in Malaysia.

Creed collected the awards for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices and Support and Improvement in Quality of Education.

The Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices category was received by the airport retailer for the second consecutive year for its significant contribution to the environment, sustainability and community involvement.

The second education award recognized the role of Dubai Duty Free Foundation in its efforts to improve quality education benefiting underprivileged children.

The annual Golden Globe Tigers Awards, hosted by the Asian Confederation of Businesses, represented around 200 participants.
