Lucky pair win US$1 million each in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion

Dubai Duty Free executives draw the winning tickets in the latest Millennium Millionaire promotion

An Indian and a Jordanian national have scooped US$1 million each in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion.

The draw for Series 325 and Series 326 respectively took place on March 3 in Concourse B of Dubai International Airport.

Vinod Kocheril Kurian, an Indian national based in Sharjah, became a million dollars richer when his winning ticket number 2052 was drawn in Series 325. A father of two, Mr Kurian bought his ticket when he traveled to Kerala for a holiday.

Kurian has been a regular participant of the promotion for over four years and is the 159th Indian national to have won a million dollars since its inception in 1999.

Meanwhile, Nael Kawar, a Jordanian national based in Amman, won US$1 million for his ticket number 4858 in Series 326, having bought three tickets for this series.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draws, the two winners of a motorbike each were also announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion.

Alfonso Paulo Yap Bruza, a Filipino national based in Dubai, won a Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Night Pack (Nero Ruvido) with ticket number 0682 in Series 400.

Abderraouf Samir, an Algerian national, won an Aprilia Shiver 900 (Challenging Red) with ticket number 0360 in Series 401.

Samir, who bought his ticket online, is the first Algerian national to win in the motorbike promotion since its inception in 2002.

The draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Ramesh Cidambi, COO, Mona Al Ali, Senior Vice President – HR, Michael Schmidt, Senior Vice President – Retail Support, and Sharon Beecham, Vice President – Purchasing.
